Fox News is the only network to accurately post the status of the recent horrific mass murder of three NJ teenagers and the hospitalization of a fourth. Fox identifies the apparent ringleader as “a Peruvian national in the U.S. illegally and who was previously charged with raping a 5-year-old… Carranza is being held on $1 million bail after turning himself in to the mayor of Newark after his fingerprints were lifted from a bottle in connection with the shootings. Carranza, has a fake Social Security number and has been arrested on charges of raping a 5-year-old and then threatening the child and parents. In that case he faces a 31-count indictment. In another, he was arrested on assault charges stemming from a bar fight. Fox reports that immigration officials apparently were aware of Carranza's illegal status since his prior arrests.”

Over at ABC News, not a word. Next door at CBS, silence. NBC/MSNBC does have an article on the killings but while scrupulously avoiding any mention of killer’s criminal immigration status also scolds the reader for being "racist" if he finds fault with the killer. The only other place where the crime is reported - CNN - the alleged killer’s criminal status is mentioned in passing, identifying the killer as “an undocumented immigrant from Peru, his lawyer acknowledged in court” who had been using a “bogus Social Security number.”

Criminal alien activity is rolling-up to be the sleeper issue for the 2008 elections.
