I passed a local church today here in the Peoples Deomcratic Socialist Republic of Massachusetts and, to my surprise, saw an elaborate display of American flags, one for each of our servicepeople killed in Iraq and Afghanistan. My first reaction was skepticism -- after all, this is Massachusetts, where ROTC buildings were burned by rioting students in 1970, whose congressional delegation is unapologetically Marxist and anti-American, and from where hails the execrable John Kerry. And this is an Episcopal Church, a denomination in the forefront of anti-American activism. But the church not only has a field of flags but the flags of all five US armed forces prominently displayed. This seems a genuine tribute to our fallen comrades in arms.
A nice change from the relentless treason that pours out of this state's congressional embarrassment.
